| Congratulations on your achievement. Through your experiences we were able to get a glimpse of what is must have been like for Peary and his expedition. But most of all, thank you for sharing your experiences with all of us as you progessed toward the North Pole, as you worked through weather, leads, and the ice drift; an education for me. Quite a challenge, quite a rewarding achievement. |

I've been following the trek and am very impressed. Wish all the best and a safe return.
I would love to trek to the north pole. How does one pursue that? Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated. |

Hi Tom
Firstly, may I say a huge congratulations for a truely historic expedition. I followed your progress every day and never had any doubt that you wouldn't be totally sucessful.
If you remember we exchanged emails before I headed off for the South Pole last year, I knew from your answer about Peary actually making it to the Pole in that time that you were going to prove everyone wrong and actually beat the record - I'm chuffed to bit for you.
I know things will be a bit hectic for the coming months however if you are ever heading up to Scotland please give me a shout and I'll show you the sights.
